A good
cardio is always a big plus. There are countless of reasons why you should
have a good
cardio. Your heart gets healthier, you get more energy, you sleep better etc etc.
So what's stopping you? Take the next big step out of your comfort zone and start working
towards a better health and a really
good cardio today!
#1 Take a Run!
The easiest step on this list. Just grab a pair of running shoes, a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt
and go for it. Try to run in an area with clean air. Avoid urban areas and areas with lots of traffic.
Fresh air is always a big plus no matter what.
Don't overdo it on the first try though. Pushing yourself to hard on the first try will just
get you un-motivated to go for a run the next time. Take pauses and just try to enjoy it.
End your run with a cold shower to recover quicker.
#2 Eat Healthier!
Another easy task. Just eat better! Now, I'm not saying you should cut out snacks and
junk food completely. Just cut it down to a reasonable level. Eat more greens and better
meat. Try to avoid deep fried products.
But don't buy into the myth that all vegetarian/vegan products are healthy. They're not.
But try to work more greens into your food but don't overdo it. You need the protein
and a healthy amount of fat to be in good health.
#3 Sleep Better!
Don't stay up all night watching your favourite show, or your favourite youtube channel.
A good amount of sleep makes sure that your body gets the recovery it needs.
When you start to feel tired, just turn of the TV and go to bed. Most of the time your
content will still be there in the morning.
#4 Don't Stress Out!
Stressing to work every morning? Wake up earlier.
You have an appointment? Get there early.
Have a deadline at work? Try to work on it from home.
Stress is never good. There is no such thing as a "healthy amount of stress".
It makes your heart work too much and you'll feel exhausted afterwards.
Now don't interpret this as being lazy. Work hard at work but don't suffocate yourself
in work. Don't stress out when you get two tasks at once. Try to work it out.
#5 Meditate!
I know it sounds like something spiritual and new agey(not that it's anything wrong with that).
But it really has it's benefits.
It makes you calm and makes you recover quicker.
Just sit down in a quite place. Maybe outside if the weather allows it, or inside in a quiet room.
Sit or lay down, relax every muscle and try to not hink of anything at all. Focus on your self.
You can do this every day, maybe after work or before work or before bed.
Now, it does not replace sleep. It rests your body but you still need sleep to rest your body completely.
